Anne of Green Gables

For this project, I was tasked with redesigning a public domain book, creating a new cover, interior layout, and a promotional package aimed at appealing to modern readers.

After researching contemporary book covers at local libraries and bookstores, I illustrated a cover for Anne of Green Gables featuring Anne and Diana. I aimed for a slightly rustic aesthetic, using a burlap-textured background and a soft, flowing typeface to reflect Anne’s spirited personality. Her iconic red braids were highlighted in both the illustration and color palette, giving the design a recognizable and lively touch.

I also designed the interior layout to harmonize with the cover, creating a cohesive reading experience that bridged the charm of the classic story with a modern sensibility.
