Escape Fiction Website

CHALLENGE: Redesign the website for a local bookstore, Escape Fiction, paying attention to hierarchy and creating clear information architecture.

SOLUTION: After conducting competitor research, I outlined the information architecture, sketched thumbnails, and created a wire frame for the homepage. The bookstore needed a new logo, so I created one that was fun and whimsical to match the store name, giving the sense of going on a journey with books. The color palette was inspired by vintage science fiction posters, as the store focused on science-fiction and fantasy books. To expand the brand, I created a range of merchandise as well.
